Some nice things people had to say about the SEED workshops: _______________________
"Here's my testimony
to the effectiveness of your training. Last week our
unofficial Individual Supported Employment rate hit
87%, after being below 70% for over three years.
Also, we've opened two new Group Supported Employment
sites in the past month and have employed every GSE
participant we have. We've had to put out a call for
other interested workers and have had 5-6 new
participants come to us to fill the vacant GSE
positions. Everyone's thrilled. We're paying our job
developers bonuses for new jobs and group sites
they've developed. We're very happy to pay the
bonuses and our job developers are just as happy to
receive them. Thanks for your excellent work
training and inspiring our job developers here at The
Arc of Spokane."

________________________ "Hi Mindy, Just want to
thank you. I took your class in Oakland last year and I
use what I learned everyday. I have been instrumental in
implementing the use of a learning styles assessment at
three of the schools I work at. Students and parents
really appreciate what the kids are learning about
themselves. (It's a great tool for IEP meetings and
career skills development classes.) One of the schools
is using it with all of their high school students and
not just the Special Ed population I Ed Nieves, Transition Specialist Mendocino Office of Education ________________________ "This training brought together case managers, VR counselors and job developers to focus on the importance of work for people with Serious Mental Illness. Mindy's light-hearted "fun" presentation style, her extensive experience in this field, some "real-life" examples that directly applied to the work we do, and "new" techniques and strategies for working with clients, employers and team members as well, made this one of the best trainings I've ever participated in! Thank you!" Jennifer Thorson Director of Rehabilitation Services Triple R Behavioral Health, Inc. Phoenix, AZ ___________________________

Thanks for one of the best, if not the best workshop I have ever been to. I plan on reading ALL the material in your binder and checking on the resources you listed too!

It was a pleasure meeting you. I took some of you advise this week and was able to get an individual employed the same day I made my contact....thank you for sharing your expertise with us.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the best JD training I have ever attended. You are an excellent trainer! What worked? Role Plays-this is the first workshop I have been to that included role plays. You knew your stuff based on a lot of experience. I was glad that you were firm with the class that we stick to the agenda. You were a pro at redirecting, which can be hard to do at times. Anyways, I learned a lot and have definitely been inspired to get out there, which were my goals. I will definitely keep you in mind for future trainings.

Your conference in Puerto Rico was GREAT!!!! We made a good decision to have you as a speaker. Your conference reflects changing in times and commitment.

This week's workshop was great! Thanks for the super info! For the first time EVER - I feel motivated to job develop, and not like it's an unpleasant chore. Thanks for the new outlook. Maybe you'll see me in another of your presentations some day. Again, thanks for a very productive couple of days!

Thank you for the excellent Job Developer Boot Camp in Los Angeles last week! I have already applied some of the concepts that I learned to get an appointment with the Vice President of a large hospital in our area.

Thank you for the opportunity to attend the learning styles workshop. I learned so much and have had a fun time putting things into practice as I work one-on-one with the students that I have. We are having a staff meeting today to share what we learned. I have attached some notes of things that impacted me. Thanks again - it was so enjoyable and I find myself thinking often of the concepts that you taught during those 2 days!

Thank you for your great presentation. You inspired me with the "juice," smile, excitement, enthusiasm and belief in helping people with disabilities to become employed, independent and productive citizens. I will apply my knowledge in my work as a VR counselor and to my family.

I know you meet a lot of people during your workshops, but even if you don't remember me personally I wanted to say thank you for such an inspiring day. I usually get pretty bored during workshops and don't always want to go, but yours is one that I think was crucial for me to attend. Especially in such an early stage of my recruiting/job developing career. I walked away from the Boot Camp with some great ideas.

This is the job developer workshop I attended and would highly recommend this training for DOR staff and job developers we are associated with to help improve our employment strategies and outcomes. This training will also help prepare participants to develop "employer accounts" if that is the directions are district is taking.
